On Monday, May 13, Fr. Michael Passo and Fr. Michael Malain of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter made a visit to Holy Family Academy, blessing the Academy building, and spending time with the students to chat and even hear Confession. Accompanying the Fathers was Mr. Harry Plummer, Superintendent for the Catholic Diocese of Phoenix.
It was a beautiful day for the new academy, which had been eagerly anticipating a priestly visit. Fr. Passo spoke to the children about the symbolism behind the words of the blessing, and the expectations of both the students and teachers in a Catholic setting. After the blessing, the Fathers made themselves available for Confessions for all who wished to take advantage of the opportunity!
The Board and Staff of Holy Family Academy is grateful to Frs. Passo and Malain – as well as Mr. Plummer – for their kindness and support as HFA brings the 2018-2019 academic year to a close.
