Parents and Students Welcomed Back to HFA for a New School Year
On the night of July 31, parents gathered at the Holy Family Academy auditorium for a back-to-school meeting, after 2 months of Summer break. While the students and their families enjoyed time together during the Summer months, the staff and faculty of HFA were busy preparing for the start of the second year of operations.
Parents were given a short welcome by the Board of Directors of HFA, as well as Principal Graves, had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the upcoming plans for the school year, as well as purchase some spirit wear with the Padres logo and the new slogan for the athletics teams: “Go Blue / Go Gray!” coined by Board Chair Dr. Shirley Weis during her speech at the Commencement Exercises just a couple months prior.
On August 5, the students gathered for the first day of classes, and the following Friday, the parents, faculty, and students enjoyed an ice cream social. This gave the parents the opportunity to chat with the teachers in a relaxed setting as the school year was barely underway.
We are thrilled to be able to begin this academic year with your children, helping parents in their Divine mission to instruct young men and women.
As always, we look to the rest of the school year with unbounded optimism, under the patronage of St. Thomas Aquinas and the Holy Family, and knowing that with God, all things are possible!
