To “wrap up” their unit on Early African Societies and the Bantu Migrations, World History students explored Ancient Egyptian religious practices surrounding the dead and mummification.

They drew contrasts and comparisons between the “Book of the Dead” and Catholic beliefs surrounding the dead and the two differing ideas of afterlife.

They also transliterated their names into hieroglyphics and carved them into clay slabs.
