A Busy Start to 2025 & 2nd Semester!

It has been a very busy start of 2025 for Holy Family students, faculty and staff!

 

On January 10, Fr. Saenz blessed and chalked doors after Mass while Mrs. Flores and Mrs. Michael’s students looked on:

Upper Academy students watched the Presidential Inauguration on television and discussed the history and tradition of the ceremony on January 20.
The kindergarten class celebrated Miss Danysh’s wedding with a bridal “reception.” Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Flores!
Catholic Schools Week kicked off on January 27 with a Red, White and Blue Day followed by Favorite Sport Team and Principal’s Hot Dog Day. On January 29, the Upper Academy volunteered at St. Mary’s Food Bank. Kickball tournaments for the Lower and Upper Academy students were held on January 30 followed by the always popular HFA Bingo. Fr. Saenz met with the 6-12th grade boys to discuss vocations after Mass on Friday.
On February 5, upperclassman Jayden Contreras was named to the Canyon Athletic Association (CAA) All State Flag Football team. Congratulations, Jayden!
The HFA Girls Soccer Team won the Catholic Youth Athletic Association (CYAA) Soccer Tournament. The Boys Soccer team came in second in their tournament. Thank you to coaches Maria DeMark and Rachel DeMark as well as Anthony Lopez and Mr. Jerry Fitzpatrick. Congratulations to everyone!
Students celebrated St Valentine’s feast day with yummy treats.
Final rehearsals for West Side Story! Are underway. Bring the entire family to see the students perform on February 21-22 at the Salvation Army Kroc Center.
