HFA Talent Show for Charity

Parents and family members joined the students and faculty to enjoy the first ever Holy Family Academy Talent Show for Charity on May 2.  Sponsored by American Heritage Girls Troop 3125, the event was organized to raise funds to make much needed repairs to the Sisters of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT) convent ceiling.

The extraordinary talents of many HFA students were showcased during the event.  The audience enjoyed musical, dancing, athletic, comedic and oratory acts of all kinds. Sister Mary of Holy Hope provided a special treat to conclude the festivities by playing musical selections on the harp.

American Heritage Girls Troop Leader Savannah George, Vincent DeMark and Sofia Graves served as Masters of Ceremony.  SOLT Sisters Mary Katherine, Mary of Holy Hope, Maria Giovanni Paolo and Mary Handmaid had the difficult task of judging the various acts.

The winners were:   1st Place — High School Boys Synchronized Swimming Spoof,  2nd Place — Victoria and Isabella McNely’s chanting of the Lord’s Prayer in Aramaic and 3rd Place  —  David Dykstra’s Oration.

Congratulations to all the competitors for their courage and willingness to share their special God-given talents with their fellow students.  They did an amazing job!
