With God All Things are Possible: The New Holy Family Chapel

The four-year-old dream of having a permanent chapel for the students at Holy Family Academy became a reality on August 20, 2021.  Construction of the chapel was coordinated by DNG Construction and funded by Drs. John and Shirley Weis.  They were eager to support the chapel construction as a visual reminder that the lives of the students at Holy Family Academy are Christ-centered.

The new chapel seats between 170-180 students and is used regularly for daily morning rosary and weekly Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Alonso Saenz.  Fr. Saenz also offers confession in the chapel weekly, and the faculty and students frequently visit the chapel for prayer throughout the day.

The chapel features three exterior windows that have been set with stained glass.  The largest stained-glass window depicts the Holy Family.  The other two stained glass windows show Jesus with little children and Jesus as a child himself completing carpentry work.

Holy Family Academy is so grateful to every worker that was an integral part in completing the chapel this summer.  The students of Holy Family Academy will be presenting the workers of DNG Construction and Drs. Weis with spiritual bouquets in gratitude.
