Mothers' Guild

The Mother’s Guild is the Holy Family Academy equivalent to the PTO. We ask mothers (dads, grandparents) who are able to help with various activities throughout the year, in order to remove stress from the teachers and administration. Below are some of the events that the Mothers’ Guild organizes, and how you can help!

How do I sign up?

Email Mothers’ Guild chair Alison Latham and she can help get you signed up!

How do I know what to bring for ___ event?

As each event draws closer we will send out a very detailed, specific email about each event and a corresponding signup genius. These emails will come roughly a month before the event is to take place. In the case of the three December events, their email will be one email with signups.

I can't help for the next few events - How can I still contribute?

Don’t worry! This is still the first semester! Over Christmas break we will send out the second semester volunteer opportunities. If the second semester isn’t any better for your schedule, its okay. Breathe! We all have seasons of life where its a little crazy and its all we can do keep above water! One of the beautiful things of the Mystical Body of the Church is that we all help each other pull through the good times and the hard times! If you are not able to help Holy Family in any way this year, take a breath and be assured of our prayers. ❤️

All Saints' Day Party

This is similar to a small carnival for the K-5th grade students. The students of those grades dress up as a Saint of their choosing (they come to school in costume!)
At about 11AM or so the party begins on campus with games, face painting, crafts, prizes, ice cream and more, with the older students running the activities. All families, parents and children whether enrolled in school or not are welcome to attend. School is then dismissed at noon. Volunteers are needed for candy, games, prizes, and crafts

Giving Brunch

…is new this year. It’s a fundraising opportunity geared towards our older benefactors and donors. Think grandparents, godparents and any other family or friends who want to financially contribute to your child’s education. There will be a brunch (think like the mothers brunch) for these guests. We are also working on a few songs and some art for the children to present to their donors and benefactors. Volunteering is needed for setup, breakdown, serving the guests, food and drink, paper goods and possibly helping with kids.

December 6th

St. Nicholas Day

the children will bring one shoe to school for St Nick to leave a candy cane in.

The volunteer list for this event is full – thank you!

December 15th

Our Lady of Guadalupe

the children will have hot chocolate, Mexican sweet breads, and possibly traditional cultural Mexican dancing to celebrate the feast. Volunteering is needed for the treats and paper goods.

Date TBA

Tinsel & Tidings

Is the Christmas program. Everyone is welcome to attend. I’m hoping to have a coffee truck for the adults and treats for the kids. Volunteering is needed for supplying kiddo treats and drinks, and paper goods.
